A piece of Cairo, brought to life. Rising 15 metres high, this lantern installation at U Venues draws inspiration from the intricate motifs of traditional Khayamiya, a craft deeply connected to Egypt’s Ramadan visual culture.
Reinterpreted at a monumental scale, the installation transforms a familiar Ramadan symbol into an immersive architectural presence, bringing the warmth, colour, and nostalgia of Cairo’s Ramadan streets into a contemporary urban setting.
